On the library patio outside of the library is a statue of Athena. The Romans called her Minerva. She is the goddess of wisdom, warfare, and the arts. The statue was a gift of the Class of 1960. The other fountain is in Summerall Chapel. It is named after Edna Courvoisie, the wife of T. Nugent Courvoisie, former Assistant Commandant.
