An obstacle course was located on Indian Hill before the new mess hall was built. It was named in honor of Charles Schnorf, class of 1981. He was killed in the terrorist bombing of the Marine Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, October 1983. (Source: Francis Carroll, Class of 1981)

A new obstacle course was created in the 1990's. It is located next to the boat docks on what was formerly the old railroad tracks. It is also named for 1st Lt. Schnorf. The current record for the obstacle course is 52 seconds, held by Cadet Adam Burch, Class of 2003. (Source: Jeff Wright, Mike, Class of 2003)
